Why is the "Change User" "Unknown" in the NetMRI 2.4 Change Audit Report

Beginning with NetMRI S/W 2.4 NetMRI can be configured to accept syslog messages for the purposes of detecting
configuration changes to network devices in real-time. NetMRI will only act on
syslog messages generated as a result of a configuration change.

This data is used to determine who made the changes and is used in the reports.

This is not the same as the capabilities provided by NetMRI’s Event Analysis Module.

When accepting syslog messages, NetMRI can be configured to forward all received syslog messages
to up to three different syslog servers. This page (Settings > Settings > Syslog Collector)
allows for input of those servers. Provide either the IP address of each host or
the IP address and syslog port as documented in the form. The default port is UDP
