    Detecting who made config changes

    I have NetMRI (2.4.3.1) and EA ( 2.4.0.4/3.0.1).

I've noticed that even though EA will receive a config change message from a device specifying what user has made a configuration change, the changes always show up in Device viewer->Config Files as user unknown.

If I change the device to also log to the NetMRI unit, then it works correctly and the user that made the change is specified.

Any ideas ? I would rather not have every device logging to both units.

    Thanks

I'll look into this and see what I can find out.  The NEA should display the name provided in the syslog message, so perhaps there is something misbehaving on the NEA.  Typically we see the user unknown when using the ccmHistory mibs to detect a config change (i.e. syslogging is not being used) and that would be on the netMRIs side.
